Evaluating the Verdict of International Court of Justice in an Iranian Case

The meeting “Evaluating the Verdict of the International Court of Justice in the case of some Iranian Properties” was held on Sunday 24 Ordibehesht 1402 with the cooperation of the Judiciary Research Institute and the International Law Student Association of Allameh Tabatabai University at the Faculty of Law and Political Sciences of this university.

In this meeting, Dr. Meshkan Mashkoor, an independent international consultant and arbitrator, reviewed the background and events leading to the decision of the court and explained the previous jurisdictional decision of the court in relation to this case.

In the following, Dr. Mirhossein Abedian, a member of the Iran-US Arbitration Court and a former judge of the Supreme Court, explained in detail his arguments regarding the violated articles of the Treaty of Amity and the arguments and conclusions of the court in live video connection from The Hague, Netherlands.

Dr. Touhidi, member of the academic staff of Qom University, and Dr. Mehdi Hadi, the head of the Judiciary Research Institute, also separately analyzed the legal personality of the Central Bank of Iran, the specific opinions of judges, the deviation of the court from its jurisdictional decision, the doctrine of purity and abuse of rights, duty The discussion between the parties voted on the executive clauses.
